- רְפַטch. sam(רפטto flap, be loose, lax). Ithpe. אִירְפַּט to fall apart. Meg.26b האי תיבותא (רבתי) דאירפטוכ׳ (read: דאִירְפְּטָא; Ms. M. 2 דאיפרט, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 3) a large chest (for sacred scrolls) which has fallen apart, may be made over into a small one.
